Open Forum Re Chapter 13 Petition with Staff Attorney Jay Chien on Best Practices, Chapter 13 Trustee Procedures and Case Law Review

Short Synopsis:  Join an open discussion on chapter 13 practice with a trustee's staff attorney.  Discover practice pointers on both classic issues and the latest trending topics in debtor representation.  Mr. Chien is a staff attorney of Amrane Cohen, the chapter 13 trustee for the Santa Ana Division of the Central District Bankruptcy Court and select Riverside Division cases as well.  Prior to becoming a staff attorney, Mr. Chien worked for several years as a debtor's attorney and has filed and confirmed several hundred chapter 13 cases successfully.  He welcomes any question you may have, which you may email to him beforehand or simply ask directly at the forum.

Speaker Bio: Mr. Jay K. Chien is a Certified Specialist In Bankruptcy Law of the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California.  He received his B.A. from UCLA in 2002 and his J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law in 2006.  Mr. Chien was admitted to the California bar in 2007 and the New York bar in 2008.  He is admitted to practice before the Central and Southern District and Bankruptcy Courts of California.  He is currently Staff Counsel to Amrane Cohen, Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the Santa Ana Division of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of California.

OCPA is a State Bar of California Approved MCLE provider and certifies that this seminar qualifies for MCLE CREDIT 1.0.

Event Fee: $10.00 for OCPA members, $20.00 for non-members and $20.00 for all walk-ins who have not pre-registered online.
