The Price of Patent Infringement: An Overview of Patent Damages
Proving infringement of a valid patent often does little good unless a patent holder can collect damages or obtain an injunction. Mr. McCracken will discuss the changing law of patent damages, which is becoming one of the most interesting, complex, and dynamic areas of patent law.

Speaker Bio: Casey McCracken, Esq. is a litigation associate at Gibson Dunn and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He has represented clients in numerous high-stakes patent infringement cases spanning a variety of technical areas, including software, cellular network and handset technology, medical devices and mechanical devices. He has a particular interest in patent damages and has worked on damages issues in three patent trials. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. McCracken was a law clerk to Judge Ricardo S. Martinez in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. He holds a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.
