Trade Secrets - Protecting Employer Information
Presented by: Ron S. Brand, Esq. Mr. Brand is a shareholder at Jackson DeMarco Tidus Peckenpaugh. Mr. Brand has substantial experience in business and corporate litigation (including claims for breach of contract and shareholder and partnership disputes), unfair competition litigation (including claims for breach of fiduciary duty and loyalty and claims of intentional interference with actual and prospective economic advantage), and trade secrets litigation (including claims of misappropriation of trade secrets). He graduated from UCI with a B.A. in Social Ecology, and obtained his J.D. with honors from DePaul University College of Law. He is admitted to the California and Illinois State Bars. Mr. Brand co-authored the chapter regarding employee defection and trade secrets protection in Drafting Employment Documents for California Employers, published by the Continuing Education of the Bar - California. Mr. Brand provides pro bono labor and employment law advice to the Jewish Federation & Family Services of Orange County and Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. He is "AV" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, was named a "Rising Star" by Southern California Super Lawyers in 2011, and was awarded Habitat for Humanity of Orange County's Outstanding Volunteer Award for Human Resources in 2015.
