Keynote Speaker (A Student's Perspective):

Yury Tolentino, Paralegal graduate, currently holds the position of Senior Associate-Legal for HCP, Inc. a publicly traded company based in Irvine. Yury previously worked as a Mergers and Acquisition Paralegal for Brown & Streza, LLP. one of Orange County’s largest corporate law firms. How was Yury able to land both of these prestigious positions? Come hear her story and her perspective on being a corporate paralegal in a law firm versus an in-house paralegal for a corporation.

Practical Application Workshop:

"Are you curious to know what happens behind the scenes as a paralegal in a criminal defense attorney's office? Lorena Hughes from the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry will offer some insight and perspective as to what it's like to represent clients accused of crimes while being up against a powerful system of prosecutors and law enforcement officials. This workshop will also review how to complete some common form petitions (motions) that every criminal defense paralegal should know."
