Topic: Changes and updates in Employment Law for 2017

Synopsis: 2017 has brought many new changes and updates that will affect the employment law industry. Ms. Reynolds will share the changes that will directly affect the legal industry in the coming years. She will also supply new case law that will be relevant for the labor law industry in the next years.
Speaker Biography: Ms. Reynolds advises and represents both private sector employees and employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including (alleged) wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations (in particular misclassification cases), wrongful termination, and unfair competition. Additionally, Ms. Reynolds has represented employers, as well as current and former employees through arbitration, mediation, pre-litigation negotiations, reinstatement, severance, and unemployment insurance appeals. Ms. Reynolds also counsels employer clients through all stages of the employment relationship, from hiring through discipline to termination, and compliance throughout. She also represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Employment Development Department, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Labor Commission.
