APRIL Dinner and General Meeting (ETHICS)

TOPIC: The Ethical Rules that Govern the Mediation Process

This presentation covers the rules and provides entertaining hypotheticals showing the ethical dilemmas that can arise. In addition how to best use "smoking gun" evidence, and what "good faith" participation looks like, and what evidence will be covered by the mediation privilege.


Presented by: Bill VanDeWeghe, Esq.

Bill is a mediator and arbitrator focusing on commericial, employment and professional liability disputes throughout the United States. As an attorney, Mr. VanDeWeghe practice was focused on commercial litigation, professional liability matters involving attorneys and accountants, and wide variety of general liablity matters.

Bill education includes a A.B., from Princeton University in 1983, a J.D. from William and Mary Law School in 1990. He was also an Army Officer from 1983-1987.


OCPA is a State Bar of California Approved MCLE provider and certifies that this seminar qualifies for 1.0 hour Ethics MCLE CREDIT
