What's New In Workers' Comp in 2013? The California workers' compensation system has many identities. Many business owners view it as a costly impediment to their success and prosperity. Injured employees see it as a complicated disability payment and healthcare bureaucracy. The public often sees it as a vehicle for costly, fraudulent claims by greedy employees.

But what is the reality of the workers' comp system? What's going to happen with the latest so-called "reform" legislation passed last year? Is the whole system different now? What does the paralegal professional need to know about workers' compensation?

Speaker: Bill Malecki, Esq. Bill Malecki has over 25 years experience in the California workers' compensation field. He has worked in Sacramento, San Francisco and Santa Ana where he is presently an Attorney III - Specialist. Mr. Malecki was certified as a Legal Specialist in Workers' Compensation by the State Bar in 1999. He has also served as a Judge Pro-Tem and as a member of the Executive Committee of the State Bar Workers' Compensation Section. Bill also serves on the Board of Directors of the St. Thomas More Society of Orange County.

Please bring as many socks as you can - tube, crew and especially wicking socks are needed.
