Ethics Kick-Off General Meeting
Topic: The Extra Mile Problem: How Good Intentions Create Ethical Risk. This Session examines how routine efforts to "go the extra mile" may unintentionally create ethical exposure under the California Rules of Professional Conduct. Situations involving client communications, deadlines, confidentially, and professional boundaries will be explored.
Example:
"The Accidental UPL Trap: When Assisting Becomes Practicing Law" How routine tasks--drafting, explaining forms, or "just helping"- can cross the line.
