STUDENT SECTION MEETING Hosted by the Orange County Paralegal Association & Coastline Community College

 

Keynote Speaker:

Bill Tanner, Esq., directing attorney of the Legal Aid Society will tell us how paralegal students can utilize community service organizations to gain valuable experience in the legal field. 

Recruiting & Job Opportunities:

What is it like working in a law firm versus being a freelance paralegal?  Stephanie Sterling has worked in law firms of all sizes and is now a freelance paralegal.  She will be speaking about the trials, tribulations and benefits of each and will be giving an overview of the types of jobs available to new paralegals.

Technology Software:

Bryce Letterman, Esq., law office technology instructor at

Coastline Community College , will shed some light on some of the hot topics and recent trends in legal technology.

Litigation Roundtable Panel Discussion:

A panel of paralegals working within the field of litigation will discuss tips for success for entry level paralegals.

Networking:

Come prepared to network! This is a great opportunity to meet fellow students and potential employers.  Bring your resume and business cards.
