Starting the Lawsuit and Pretrial Discovery

Presented by: Daniel M. Livingston, Esq.  Mr. Livingston specializes in business and real estate litigation. He has successfully handled hundreds of civil litigation matters involving a wide range of commercial issues, and has tried numerous cases to verdict, judgment or arbitration award. He recently won a nearly $10 million jury verdict for a financial institution against a major homebuilder in San Diego County. Mr. Livingston has been consistently named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list by vote of attorney peers and was recognized as one of the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Orange County from 2004 to 2007. He is the past Chair of the Business Litigation Section of the Orange County Bar Association, and is a member of the Board of Governors of the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Mr. Livingston has authored articles for the Orange County Lawyer and the Brigham Young University Law Review, for which he also served as an Associate Editor. Prior to joining Payne & Fears LLP, Mr. Livingston was an associate in the litigation department at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Los Angeles
