Presented by: Lonnie Giamela, Esq., Partner at Fisher Phillips  Mr. Giamela represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including fair employment, intellectual property, ERISA litigation, wage and hour, independent contractor classification, medical leaves, mass layoff and preparation of employment documents such as handbooks and compensation plans. Lonnie has extensive experience representing local, regional and national clients in class action wage-hour lawsuits as well as representative lawsuits brought under California’s Private Attorneys General Act. Lonnie has successful experience representing these clients before state, appellate and federal courts as well as governmental agencies such as the Department of Fair Employment Housing, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Employment Development Department. He has also assisted clients in collective bargaining, defense of unfair labor practice charges, arbitrations, and representation of employers in union organizing campaigns. Lonnie has presented more than 200 seminars to management, executives, human resources professionals and employer groups on topics including fair employment, medical leaves, mass layoffs, FMLA/CFRA compliance, independent contractor classification matters and wage and hour compliance.

OCPA is a State Bar of California Approved MCLE provider and certifies that this seminar qualifies for MCLE CREDIT 1.0.
