e-Filings and e-Briefs in the California Courts of Appeal

Presented by: John Hur, Director of West Coast Operations for Counsel Press, Inc.

Summary: This program will discuss recent rules and updates on e-filings and e-submission in the California appellate courts. The program will also discuss technical steps and requirements for filings of briefs, appendices and other commonly filed documents. Lastly, the program will discuss the importance and value of filing optional e-briefs.  

Presenter Bio: John Hur is the Director of West Coast Operations for Counsel Press, Inc., a nation-wide appellate services company which assists attorneys with their appellate filings in appellate courts across the country, including all of the federal circuit courts. Since joining Counsel Press, Mr. Hur has handled thousands of appeals and petitions in courts across the county, including the California state and supreme courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Hur routinely handles the most complex and high-profile filings and, in the past, he has assisted with filings relating to the California In Re Marriage Cases, water rights appeals and pharmaceutical class actions, to name a few.

Event Fee: $10.00 for OCPA members, $20.00 for non-members and $20.00 for all walk-ins who have not pre-registered online  (both members and non-members).
