The Right to Repair Act and Construction Defect Litigation

This program explores the pre-litigation procedures required by Civil Code section 895 et. seq. of the “Right to Repair Act”, the frequency by which builders exercise that right, and the common means and methods utilized by attorneys in the field to modify the handling of these claims.

Presented by:  Joseph Kaneda, Esq. from Fenton, Grant Mayfield Kaneda & Litt, LLP


Speaker Bio:  Joseph Kaneda graduated from the University of California at Irvine before receiving his law degree from McGeorge School of Law. He is a member of the California Bar, Arizona Bar, Nevada Bar, Federal Bar for the Central District of California, Orange County Bar Association and Consumer Attorneys of California.

Mr. Kaneda has been recognized as a California Super Lawyer in construction litigation and has served as an instructor in California construction defect law and insurance coverage seminars. Mr. Kaneda focuses his practice on the representation of California homeowner associations in construction defect claims.

Event Fee: $10.00 for OCPA members, $20.00 for non-members and $20.00 for all walk-ins who have not pre-registered online (both members and non-members) IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE. Walk-ins are on a first come first serve basis.

*Cancellation Policy - If you need to cancel your reservation, please e-mail the Litigation Section Chair, Susan Schwartz at susanslaw@yahoo.com. No refunds will be issued. Credit for a future meeting will be held in your OCPA account which may be applied to future meetings if your cancellation is received no less than 48 hours prior to the event.
