The Anatomy of Personal Injury Cases and Common Ethical Dilemmas

Presented by: Jason D. Cohn, Esq. and Saar Swartzon, Esq.  Attorney Cohn, a founding member of Cohn & Swartzon, P.C., began his legal career practicing business litigation and injury defense for a firm in Newport Beach. Since beginning his solo practice in 2003, Mr. Cohn has represented hundreds of clients in plaintiff personal injury matters including catastrophic injury, wrongful death and victims of crime.  In so doing, Mr. Cohn has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for his clients.  After graduating with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, Mr. Cohn attended Whittier Law School in Los Angeles where he graduated with honors.  Mr. Cohn is licensed to practice in all California State Courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and most Federal District Courts in California.

Attorney Saar Swartzon has acted as lead counsel on many successful personal injury verdicts and settlements.  He also holds years of experience in OC personal injury claims involving catastrophic injuries. Recently, Mr. Swartzon helped obtain a $36 million jury verdict for an asbestos victim.  This personal injury verdict was determined as the 48th largest verdict in the United States according to the National Law Journal, Top 100 Verdicts.  Mr. Swartzon graduated from U.S.C., cum laude, with honors in 1995 and subsequently graduated from Southwestern University School of Law.  While attending law school, Mr. Swartzon was a member of the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy Team in which he won two national trial competitions while also working as a law journal editor.
