  Park Bench Cafe

  OCPA is partnering with Mutts in Need, a non-profit dog rescue and rehabilitation organization based in Newport Beach. They rescue and re-home dogs of all sizes and breeds to homes in Orange County and surrounding areas. Their top priority is finding safe, loving, forever homes for each and every one of their dogs. 

  Mutts in Need has expressed that they would love our help and we will be assisting at this adoption event. Volunteers will be in charge of holding a dog and help answer basic questions about the dog they're holding (don't worry, they will fill each of us in on the dog we're holding).**They will bring as many dogs as the number of volunteers attending so please plan to stay the full 3 hours.

  
  

  The event will take place in a grass area set up in the park space next to the Park Bench restaurant. It's a great space for people to hang out and walk with the dogs around the park.

  A few things to know about Park Bench:

  1) Bring a water bottle (water will be provided by the restaurant).

  2) Wear comfortable clothes and shoes (the set up is on the grass).

  3) You are welcome to bring blankets to lay on or foldable chairs. There

  are also picnic tables (not associated with the restaurant) to sit on.

  4) Feel free to bring snacks or purchase food at the restaurant.

  5) Please do Not park in the restaurant lot. Park across the street OR at

  the designated lot for Central Park Huntington Beach (both are a very short walk over to the area next to Park Bench Cafe)

  Presenter Biography

  Jason Martinez is a co-founding partner of RM Law Group, LLP. His practice focuses exclusively on California Family Law and community property division, including litigation and settlement of complex and high-conflict divorce and child custody proceedings. Jason understands that divorce and family law issues have long-term effects on all family members, especially the children.

  OCPA is partnering with Dreams for Schools, a non-profit organization that oversees programs and initiatives that contribute to educating youth about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math fields. 

  Join us in STEAM kit building, assembling materials and kits, for the engineering and tech curriculums at Dreams for Schools. As a volunteer, you will play a pivotal role in assembling these hands-on learning tools, fostering a love for discovery and innovation in children. Help to inspire young minds! 

  
  

  Dreams for Schools advances equity by bridging gaps in STEAM education by working with a range of community stakeholders from K-12 students, educators, schools, districts, as well as higher education students to provide educational programs that would not otherwise be available to students.   Mei Tsang has an international intellectual property practice focused on helping clients formulate their IP strategy, and shepherding their IP through various business cycles to achieve their business goals worldwide. Mei has substantial experience in patent and trademark portfolio development, and in all aspects of IP enforcement, including negotiation, licensing, and litigation at various courts at the federal, state, and administrative levels.
