  Presented By: Allyne Sendolo, JD.

  

  Allyne Sendolo, JD is a socio-legal expert with the focus on the intersection of law and society. Her passions lie in intersectionality, psychedelics, cannabis, and business. Allyne leverages her legal background to explore how evolving legal  landscapes impact industries and communities. She conducts extensive legal research and collaborates with other experts to explore complex topics such as mental health, intersectionality, and the changing legal framework surrounding psychedelic and cannabis law.

  Currently, Allyne is contributing to a textbook on psychedelics and cannabis law, where she conducts in-depth legal research and crafts content on emerging laws, and evolving legal and medical frameworks. In addition, to her writing, Allyne is preparing for the bar exam.

  LITIGATION LAW SECTION MEETING

  TOPIC: Trial Strategy for Millennial Jurors

  Millennials (also known as Gen-Y) represent an increasingly important segment of a jury pool. This presentation will provide an overview of the millennial generation and their attitudes, beliefs and communication styles  as well as characteristics and expectations of this generation of jurors. Finally, an overview of voir dire considerations, trial presentation and myths and perceptions as to damages will be covered.

  

  Presented By: Nick Sherman and Manson Ho

  Nicholas Sherman, is a Business Development Manager for Magna Legal Services in Los Angeles. Nick earned a Bachelor's in law and Society from Oberlin College in 2010. Nick has worked with hundreds of law firms, insurance companies and government entities on over 100,000 matters to become Elevate's youngest Vice President of Sales and top producer.

  Manson Ho, is the Director of Litigation Solutions based out of Dallas, TX. He practiced commercial litigation and insurance defense for over seven years before moving overseas where he consulted on active U.S.-based trials. In all, Mr. Ho has devoted two decades to providing his expertise to  both providers and buyers of legal services and products.

  This presentation will cover the essential aspects of exhibit preparation and presentation for Paralegals. The discussion will cover types of exhibits commonly used, preparation process, presentation strategies, and legal ethical considerations. In addition, digital exhibit preparation, emerging technology and anticipating issues from both sides during trial preparation.

  

  Presented By: Jesse Gessin, Esq.

  Jesse Gessin is trial counsel for businesses and individuals in both criminal and civil cases. Jesse served as a Deputy Federal Public Defender (CD.Cal.) where he was lead trial counsel in over 20 federal felony cases. Jesse holds a specialization in criminal law from the CA State Bar, and is a lecturer at UCI Law School where he teaches criminal trial advocacy. Prior to forming Gessin Ltd, Jesse was a partner in a nationally recognized business trial boutique law firm.
